Yoshi's Land discovered for the Wii U

A little over a week ago, Neogaf user Trike claimed to have hacked into the Miiverse admin list, gaining access to restricted areas. Trike posted multiple images of admin-only areas, explaining that he was apparently only able to browse, and not actually change anything. Shortly after, Trike lost access, around the same time as Nintendo of America tweeting about performing some Miiverse maintenance.

Of the images that Trike posted, the most interesting one is what appears to be a listing of games and game ideas for the future of the Wii U. Most of them are generic, such as “resident evils” and “metroid,” while two of them are much more specific. “Yoshi’s Land Wii U” and “Soul Hackers” both appear to be more prominent, as they are marked with a star. Not too long after this, IGN reported that several retailers have listings for Yoshi’s Land Wii U. Hit the jump for all the details.

IGN is reporting that Best Buy and Future Shop both have a listing for Yoshi’s Land Wii U, with the following description:

Take Yoshi on an epic adventure to remember in Yoshi Land for Nintendo Wii U. Check out Yoshi as you’ve never seen him before: in glorious high definition. Enjoy dual-screen control thanks to the Wii U Touchscreen GamePad, while you’ll also be able to experience full integration with Nintendo’s MiiVerse service.

Nintendo has made no announcements about such a game at this time. IGN’s Executive Editor Richard George reached out for comment, but has received no reply at this time. There has been no mention of Soul Hackers since the initial images leaked.
