The wait is over. As of today, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is now available worldwide! The first wave of amiibo figures, one of which is Yoshi, are out too, and they can be trained as fighters in the game.

The all-star brawler is currently sitting on a score of 92 on Metacritic, largely thanks to its huge variety of modes, and the great fun to be had in multiplayer.

Fans who register both the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U versions of Smash Bros. on Club Nintendo will get both a special soundtrack of the games, and download codes to unlock Mewtwo as a fighter, both in early 2015.
