Nintendo has recently revealed at an E3 meeting that it will introduce new framework for the StreetPass feature on the 3DS. The new system will allow users to exchange data with each other using the multiple Wi-Fi hotspots in Europe and America. This will certainly increase use of the feature in less crowded areas in the West. After the system update comes in Autumn, users will have their 3DS console connect to the internet whenever they pass a hotspot, which will act like a relay system for the next person who passes by.
