The Nintendo Direct E3 broadcast is over and we got a ton of amazing news! Sorry for posting it this late, but I'll give you all the Mario reveals, announcements, trailers and artwork. In case you missed the broadcast (why would you?) you can watch it here: [link]

Super Mario 3D World

This is the game the Super Mario Galaxy team have been hard at work on, it's a platformer similar to Super Mario 3D Land (for the 3DS) but it features 4-player multiplayer with Mario, Luigi, Peach and Toad. Similarly to Super Mario Bros 2, each character has their own unique abilities. It looks like the story will be different from the usual Peach kidnapping as she will be a playable character.

The biggest new addition apart from the multiplayer is the new cat power-up, which lets you run on all fours and attack enemies with your paws. The tanooki suit is back as well, and this great game is coming to Wii U this December!

Mario Kart 8

The first HD Mario Kart is coming in Spring 2014 and it looks better than ever before. Along with the amazing graphics, returning bikes, gliders and underwater driving, antigravity is a brand new gimmick and it allows you to race on walls and ceilings. The game supports 12-player online racing (and 4-player online) and a new feature called Mario Kart TV lets you upload clips of your gameplay to Miiverse!

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U

The game everybody was waiting for, was finally revealed today. Mario, Donkey Kong, Link, Samus, Kirby, Fox, Pikachu, Bowser and Pit have been confirmed as veteran characters and three newcomers have been revealed so far. Villager (Animal Crossing), Mega Man, and, wait for it, the female Wii Fit trainer are three of the newcomers that will be joining the battle. Does this come as a surprise to you? The game's engine will be slightly different to previous Smash Bros titles and there will be connectivity between the Wii U and 3DS versions.

Yoshi's New Island

The third instalment in the adorable Yoshi's Island series offers classic Yoshi abilities while bringing new ones to the table, such as Mega Eggs that Yoshi can use to destroy obstacles. The game has a variety of worlds with different art styles. The game is coming this Holiday 2013. A new trailer was shown at E3, in which the new title for the game was revealed.
